Da Nang sets the organising team for Pickleball World Cup 2026

On 7 July, the Da Nang People's Committee announced the organising committee and specialist subcommittee for the Heineken Pickleball World Cup 2026. The structure was established under Decision 2737/QD-UBND dated 24 June for the event running from 30 August to 6 September.

The three co-chairs are Tran Phuoc Son, Standing Vice Chairman of the city People's Council and chairman of the Da Nang Pickleball Federation; Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the city People's Committee; and Major General Le Hong Hiep, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Public Security's Department of Political Affairs.

How the event operation is organised

Duong Quang Thuan, director of America & Asia Connection Co., Ltd., serves as standing deputy head. The committee also includes six deputy heads and 14 members, connecting city authorities, technical bodies and the event company.

The technical, protocol, logistics and security subcommittee is led by Nguyen Ba Canh, standing vice chairman of the city federation. One deputy and 20 members support competition operations, reception, logistics and security.

The announced venue network

The city plan names Tien Son Sports Palace with eight courts and Tuyen Son Sports Village with 31, alongside Trang Hoang, Hop Thanh Phat and central-city clubs. The distributed model expands capacity but makes the daily venue assignment essential information.

Attendance figures remain forecasts

The Da Nang portal projected about 4,000 participants from 80 countries and territories, including athletes, coaches, officials, business representatives, event staff and supporters. These are planning figures at the time of the announcement, not a final attendance count.

The organisers also planned to invite selected world top-20 players to captain teams corresponding to their nationalities, alongside international sporting figures. The wording remains a proposal until the event confirms its final field.
